			<description>Cosmetic Surgery Central London
Cosmetic surgery is done to enhance the physical appearance of your body. There are various types of cosmetic surgeries available. It differs from reconstructive surgery as these surgeries are done to improve the deformities from injuries or birth defects. Cosmetic is done for the level of personal appearance benefit.

Whether removing a birthmark from a baby's face or removing a mole, cosmetic surgery covers most areas of people's appearance. Breast implants/reduction, liposuction, facelift, tummy tucks and nose surgery all come under the term, cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic surgery is an industry worth £158.6 million in the UK. In 1995 65,000 operations were performed and today, the number of operations has risen by 50%. Cosmetic surgery is different from plastic surgery. Plastic surgery is to reconstruct or improve the appearance after injury or illness.

Many women have cosmetic surgery on a regular basis. This is because they simply do not feel comfortable with their own body. Facelift surgery is a cosmetic procedure commonly used to tighten and smooth out facial skin, making the patient look more youthful, radiant and relaxed.. It is not only women who go for the surgery though, cosmetic surgeons have seen an unexpected increase in the number of men who are happy to splash the cash on surgery in exchange of looking younger. Tummy tucks for men were up by 60% in 2007, compared with the previous year. Nose jobs remain the most popular procedure for men.

14% per cent of botox injections, 15 per cent of all liposuction and eyelid surgeries, 20 per cent of laser hair removal and 24 per cent of nose jobs are carried out on men.

Many people travel abroad to get cosmetic surgery as it works out a lot cheaper and apparently, the surgeons are better at their job in different countries. This, however, is not always the case. Statistics show that more people suffer complications after travelling abroad to have their surgery done. Many can not handle the flights/travel back, as they are in immense pain. A lot of people have noticed that if they get their surgery done abroad, they come across complications such as infections. However, this is not to say that having it done in England will not cause any problems.

A lot of people who have had cosmetic surgery, or as many now know it, gone under the knife, do not tell people of having the surgery. It used to be, that people were ashamed of having surgery done or that they thought it looked so natural, they could get away with it. But nowadays, more and more people are owning up to having the surgery. It is as if it's a trend.

Many celebrities try to deny having surgery, but with so many experts out there, they can tell who has and has not had surgery. Some people are lucky to have natural beauty, whereas, others feel uncomfortable with their own bodies or looks, so choose to have surgical procedures done. With celebrities, its like a fight to look most natural.

Some of the more popular forms of cosmetic surgery are liposuction, in which excessive fat is sucked out of the body with a tube and vacuum device; laser facial resurfacing, which smoothes lines on the face around the eyes and mouth and eliminates facial blemishes; facelift, which pulls back the skin around the face, jowls and neck; breast enlargement, which enhances the size of the breasts using saline implants; and hair replacement surgery, which fills in balding areas using a patient's own hair. There are many more forms of cosmetic surgery, including variations of these.

Many Hollywood stars turn to cosmetic surgery. This is to make them look younger, and for them to stay in their well paid jobs. This has now led to some teenagers wanting cosmetic surgery as a birthday or Christmas present.
